about

Our latest EP. Recorded at Third Circle in Portslade by James Glasson, the Luke Skywalker to Steve Albini's Yoda, after he heard our song "Signals to Process" and offered us a rather graphic complement.

One exciting exchange of emails later, we went there, in May 2019, over one weekend, recording and mixing the whole thing in two days. It was tough, but after many pizza slices and cups of tea later, not to mention James finishing his bass just in time to take off and see the Manics performing the 20th Anniversary of "This is my Truth..." at Wembley on the Saturday, it was done.

About the songs:
1. My Little Fiefdom: A particular favourite live opener, and the newest song on the EP, this took ages to write, but once it was written and properly performed, it basically had to be recorded. The title is a shoutout to Mike Watt, of course, and the lyrics are influenced by Cursed's classic Fatalist.

2. World of Wasted Time. All our songs have at least one nickname. This one has three. WOW. World of Warcraft. Run Run Run. This was the product of a jam session waaaay back in the day which was then fleshed out into a proper song. A live favourite.

3. Maybe I'm Bipolar. Another very old one, this was played at the very first gig in 2015, would you believe. Like most of our songs, this is actually about being completely knackered. And it comes from an attempt to fuse the Microphones with ETID.
